About Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery
One of 4 state-run Veterans Cemeteries in Maine.
Operating Hours
Summer Hours: May 1 to November 15, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Open on weekends.
Winter Hours: Same hours as above, however, the cemetery is closed for in-ground burials from November 15th to April 30th.
15-20 minute Committal Services are held on the hour: 9:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 1:00 and 2:00.
Cremation niche burials take place year round.
Casketed burials are available only from May to October. Design capacity is: 20,000 casketed burials. *Please note that the winter schedule may differ due to extreme conditions.
