ABSOLUTELY THE WORST SERVICE EVER !!
My Mother pasted away over a month ago. I met with the Funeral Director Steven Smith two days later and made cremation arrangements of which I paid for in full at that time. I live out of state so I also paid extra to have the ashes sent to me along with two copies of the death certificates. After two week I called Fresno Funeral Chapel and asked what the status was of our Mothers Cremation. I was told that they needed her SS#. Although I did not understand why no one had contacted me with this request, I promptly called them back with it and was assured that they would proceed right away. Well another two weeks has past and I called them again today because I have still not received my Mothers remains or the death certificates. I was told by a very rude lady that they were waiting for me to pay the bill. I informed her that I had paid the bill in full and that they had cashed my check 3 weeks ago and it had cleared my bank, I was then rudely informed that she would have to look into it and would call me right back (she never did) After a email to Stephen Smith the Funeral Director, a complaint to the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau, contacting my attorney and the District Attorneys Office with a complaint of theft of services I finally received a email back saying the body had been delivered to the crematory and the ashes should be sent out in a couple days.Wow over a month.

Funeral homes and cremation providers offer a wide range of services to assist families with funeral arrangements. Full-service funeral homes offer everything from burial services to cremation services. They often sell caskets, urns, and other memorial products. Their cremation prices are generally higher than direct cremation providers.
Direct cremation providers often operate out of simpler offices and work directly with the crematory to provide lower-cost cremation services for families in the community. Since they have lower overhead costs, cremation costs and immediate or simple burials many be less expensive than full-service funeral homes.
