Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home

My mother passed away suddenly, while visiting me in Connecticut. It was extremely traumatizing for my family and me.

We called on John for the transportation and creation services. John and his staff was kind, compassionate and professional at every step of the way with my step-father as he signed off on the documents and completed all the very difficult arrangements. Mom was cremated and would eventually make her way back to my home; however, I struggled with picking up her ashes. I never felt rushed, pushed, or like it business as usual and was given the space and time I needed to eventually make my way to the funeral home to pick up her ashes.

We arrived at Wakelee funeral home just as they were getting ready for the holidays. It was decorated beautifully and the entire home was spotless. John told us about a beautiful antique sleigh he was having restored that would be the finishing touch for the holidays.

John took the time to present options for Moms ashes and make sure I had everything I needed, if I decided to travel or ship her ashes. He was so patient in explaining the details and options. I can’t thank John enough for being incredibly comforting and kind, during a very difficult time.
